Process

Documented stages. Named responsibilities.

Every Japanese vehicle import has moving parts across multiple parties. We map who does what at each stage so you always know the next action.

You'll always know what happens next. That's the promise.

  1. 1. Scoping call

    Nexus + customer

We understand the vehicle, destination, timeline, and which stages need coordinated handoffs.

    Next: Preliminary service recommendation

  2. 2. Preliminary recommendation

    Nexus

Nexus proposes Vehicle Finder or Full Import Service based on scope. Recommendation is subject to Nexus review and not final.

    Next: Engagement decision

  3. 3. Vehicle & seller review

    Nexus

Review of available listing information, images, and seller communication support.

    Next: Go / no-go decision

  4. 4. Purchase coordination

    Customer pays seller directly

Nexus coordinates communication; the customer contracts and pays the seller or exporter directly.

    Next: Export arrangements

  5. 5. Shipping

    Exporter / carrier

Nexus tracks milestones with the parties responsible for booking and shipping the vehicle.

    Next: Customs preparation

  6. 6. Customs

    Customer's licensed broker

Nexus facilitates communication with your chosen customs broker and follows up on outstanding information. The broker identifies and files required documents; you and the exporter provide them. Nexus does not file entries.

    Next: Release & delivery planning

  7. 7. Delivery handoff

    Customer-selected transporter

The customer selects the transporter, verifies insurance, contracts and pays directly. Nexus assists with review only.

    Next: Arrival at final destination
